Mount Olympus / Blue Glacier

Climbers: Dennis, Craig, Chris
Routes: Blue Glacier / Snow Dome
Climb Description: This nearly fifty mile round trip climb is a classic Northwest adventure. We approached via the Hoh River trial. Hiking 10 miles to Lewis Meadow the first night. Lama support was a great help. Day two we hiked to Elk Lake where we left the Lama’s behind and made camp at Glacier Meadows. We woke the group at 11:30pm and started climbing at 12:30am. We gained the Glacial Moraine then descended to the Blue Glacier. After crossing the Glacier we climbed Snow Dome and traversed under the summit. After the climb we decended to Lewis Meadows and hike out the next morning. First stop on the way home was the famous Hard Rain Cafe. Great Burgers!!!
Weather: Warm and Sunny
