Route: Winter Route – Southwest Ridge – 3800′ Elev. Gain
Climb Description: We left the trailhead at ten in the morning. After snowshoeing our way up the snowy approach, we finally broke out of the trees and climbed the winter route via the southwest ridge. We kick stepped the final 1500′ to the summit on firm crusted rime iced snow. Reaching the summit at 2:00 pm to clear but breezy skies. We met a lone snowboarder getting ready to make some turns. We quickly descended passing two other climbers, reaching the trailhead at 3:30 pm.
Weather/Conditions: Cold with light mixed rain/snowfall changing to windy limited clear skies!
